Gary Tiplady

Gary Tiplady is a sculpture who creates a variety of animals out of wire and wire mesh. I like his work because he uses what I consider a cold and hard material to make something as warm and soft as a mouse. I like his wire mouse especially because it is such a contradiction, that something as hard and dangerous as sharpe wire was used to make something as soft and harmless a
s a mouse.

I like that the work is not neat and it's a bit messy. His is sort of different to the usual things that I like because i'm a perfectionist and I like evertythig to be neat and precise, so I think that it is interesting that I like this piece because it's sort of messy and creative.
